Norwegian Pop

Bel Canto is a Norwegian music group, 1985 by Nils Johansen, Geir Jenssen and Anneli Drecker founded. Jenssen left the band in 1990 and has since been known primarily for the publication of his ambient project Biosphere. The singer Anneli Drecker interrupted the work again and again for several albums under his own name, with other bands as well as for theater and film projects. Nils Johansen is also working again with his other band Vajas.

In Norway, the first two albums were released under the name Bel Kanto, there already was a choral group's name.

Music the group is transformed by the life of avant-garde-gothic-to melodic pop music. Decisive for this cooperation with the Belgian independent label Crammed Discs, and many was the artists represented there. The lyrics of the songs are in German, English and French. (Wiki)
